Big pumps needed for a big job


The photo above shows the two boiler feed water pumps for Gundersen Health System’s new biomass boiler. One pump is needed for the boiler to operate but since steam is needed at all times to support the hospital campus operations, redundancy is required to prevent an outage. The feed water pump sends water to the boiler which will then superheat the water to create steam. These pumps support the lifeblood of the system.
